‘Holiday Hoot’ This Weekend at Utica Zoo [Video]

This weekend at the Utica Zoo it's fun for the entire family at the Holiday Hoot, and it's going to be a blast!

This weekend it's the Holiday Hoot at the Utica Zoo. While you're there be sure and pay a visit to the Spider Monkeys. If you bring a deck of cards with you, there's a chance you could amuse them with a magic trick. You may also want to bring the animals some Christmas gifts. Holiday Hoot takes place this Saturday from 1 to 3. The event features pictures with Santa, animal meet and greets, and lots of snacks. Children 3-12 $2.50, adults 13-61 $4.50, seniors 62+. If you have a student or military ID your admission fee is $3.50.

An orangutan video has recently gone viral because it's a "hoot." All it took for an ape to give us a crazy reaction to some slight of hand was a styrofoam cup, and a walnut. According to The Daily News:

An amateur magician got a new fan — an orangutan who thought an illusion was so hilarious, it fell on the ground laughing. The great ape was sitting on the floor behind the glass of his exhibit at the Barcelona Zoo when a visitor surprised him with a magic trick.
