A video of a police department in Michigan is going viral for the best possible reason. Police in the West Michigan city of Lowell, near Grand Rapids, were on a mission to pull motorist over, but not to ticket them.

Lowell Police Chief Steve Bukala explains that "the most contact the public has with a police officer is during a traffic stop." Bukala says a cop can find out a lot about a person during that quick stop and they had an idea to make people's days better. Watch the video and see some real Christmas magic.

This video reminds me quite a bit of what Canadian airline WestJet did for travelers last Christmas: Santa spoke with Calgary-bound passages in Toronto and Hamilton airports. While their flights were in air, WestJet employees rushed to get presents so they'd be waiting in Calgary. It's just as amazing as it sounds.
