9/11

One of the many events that took place today in honor of those we lost 13 years ago was Utica’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on the Memorial Parkway near MVCC across from Sherman Drive. We attended and gathered some footage for you to view in remembrance of those we've lost.

In Lower Manhattan, near the spot where the Twin Towers once stood, the reading of the names of those who died on September 11, 2001, began early Thursday morning.

As we remember the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, we wanted to look back at the iconic images from that fateful day.

Do you remember where you were when you heard that a plane had crashed into a World Trade Center tower? I do. I was on  the air in Pennsylvania when my co-host informed me of what was happening. I said, "What, a small engine plane flown by some nutcase?" "No" she said, "a jet!" In unison we said, "terrorism!"
