As had been rumored for a while, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have both publicly confirmed that they are leaving 'American Idol' after this season, following the announcement that Randy Jackson was also retiring. This leaves Keith Urban as the last judge standing, though perhaps not for long.

'American Idol' used to be the hottest show on television, but after 13 years, it's starting to show its age. The show's ratings have slipped from regularly having 30 million viewers to now somewhere around 11 million. And though the show has had some different judges over the course of its run, it's now looking to ditch all four current judges to have a fresh face for season 13.

Keith Urban Will Return to The State Fair Grandstand

Keith Urban, winner of four Grammy Awards for Best Male Country Vocal Performance, will bring his 2012 concert tour to the Great New York State Fair as part of the Grandstand concert series at 7:30 pm on Friday, Aug. 24. Tickets prices are $65, $55 or $45, and gets you onto to the fairgrounds that day if purchased prior to the date of the concert. The ticket on-sale date will be disclosed as more concerts announcements are made.

While touring to support his 2010 album 'Get Closer,' Keith Urban said he wanted to make an effort to literally get closer to fans. So, the musician had a stage constructed that allows him to mingle with the crowd, as well as smaller, more intimate stages interspersed throughout each venue. "This tour is about making a real connection with the audience, finding a way to engage with everybody that doesn’t always rely on massive video walls," he told Taste of Country.
