As the tenth anniversary of 9/11 nears, several outstanding examples of how TV dealt with the tragedy come to mind, including David Letterman’s first broadcast after the attacks and Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ But perhaps none was more powerful than the first post-9/11 ‘Daily Show With Jon Stewart‘ and Comedy Central is streaming the entire episode free on their site.
September 9, 2011 Sunday will mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks,on that day a decade ago a plane that slammed into the World Trade Center out of a brilliantly clear blue September sky began a day of horror that changed our nation and the world forever.
Memorial events are being held around the country to mark the somber anniversary, most prominently at the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Flight 93 went down after passengers tried to take back control of the hijacked jet.
The September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks claimed the lives of 2,977 victims. The name of each victim is listed below.
September 8, 2011 New York Mills is inviting everyone to attend the 10th annual 9/11 ceremony held on September 11th. Before the ceremony there will be a silent march from the New York Mills Fire House that will start at 6pm and end at the 9/11 Memorial located at 320 Main Street

September 8, 2011 Chances are you probably remember exactly where you were and what you were doing on September 11th, 2001. Normally I would've been on the air doing my midday show here at Lite 98.7. However, that day Iwas far away, miles and miles from home and the radio station.

September 7, 2011 As we remember the 10th anniversary of the September 11th Terrorist attacks we wanted to look back at the images of triumph as New Yorkers struggled to recover from the tragedy.
The terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 left an indelible mark on Americans. But even as the first responders climbed through the rubble in New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania, the country embarked on a “War on Terror.” With that war came years of conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq, indefinite detention of terror suspects without charges or trial, enhanced interrogation techniques, extraordinary rendition and the passage of the USA Patriot Act.
Ten years later, Americans are still wondering if it was wise to sacrifice some privacy and freedoms in order to fight terrorism.
