This time of the year can be the worst to attempt to diet, and lose weight. Face it; it’s probably not going to happen. Most diets require a re-amp of how you eat, but this one doesn’t. If you're looking to have a little bit better health, this may be the diet for you.

If you’re not looking to completely hurt yourself with a diet listen to this: according to a new study, you're better off cutting carbs just two days a week instead of going low cal every day. British researchers found that women who eliminated bread, pasta, potatoes and rice two days a week and ate their normal diet the rest of the time lost an average of nine pounds over four months.

On the other hand, women who ate a 1,500-calorie-per-day Mediterranean-style diet for the same time period lost only five pounds. Not only did the women on the stop-and-go diet lose more weight, but they also enjoyed other improvements in their health, including levels of insulin and leptin.

Now this doesn’t sound like a bad diet at all, does it?
