Heavy Snow in the Adirondack Mountains on Memorial Day Weekend 2013 [Pictures + Video]
Even though summer is still a few weeks away on the calendar, the Memorial Day holiday weekend is traditionally seen at the traditional start of the summer season. It’s a time of year when ‘camps up north’ get opened up for the season. Maybe it’s warm enough for a dip in a lake or pool. Not this 2013 Memorial Day Weekend in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks.
The image above is of the road to the top of Whiteface Mountain near Lake Placid.
The region is banketed by close to two feet of snow.
