Food, family, friends, and oh yeah, fireworks! What would the 4th of July be without them? Here's a list of where you can find displays all over Central New York.

Springfield Community Center (Springfield)

If you've never been to Glimmerglass State Park on July 4th, you're missing out! They have one of the most impressive fireworks displays in all of Central New York. It's really pretty cool to see them light up the sky at night while they reflect off the water. Bring a blanket, a picnic basket, and you're sparklers. You'll have a blast! There's a free concert featuring the Jeff Walton Band at 7:30. Fireworks will follow immediately after the show.

Proctor Park (Utica)

Show your Utica pride and join in the festivities! They're calling this the "Party in the Park" and it's sure to be a fire crackin' good time! This Independence Day Celebration features many of your favorite Mohawk Valley Foods, bounce houses for the kids, live music from Classified, and plenty of colorful fireworks at dusk. Break out your red, white, and blue apparel and get ready to celebrate. The party gets underway at 6!

NBT Bank Stadium (Syracuse)

It doesn't get any more American than cracker jacks, hot dogs, baseball, and fireworks, and it's all happening this July 4th when the Syracuse Chiefs take on the Pawtucket Red Sox. The team will be sporting their very special Independence game day uniforms that day, and there will be plenty to cheer about after the game too. I have friends who have attended this celebration and they told me it was phenomenal. Game time is 7 and fireworks will follow. Create a lasting memory and take your family and friends out to the ball park. It's a hit!

Sylvan Beach

If you're looking for a great way to wind down your 4th of July weekend, plan on attending one of Central New York's most famous fireworks celebrations at Sylvan Beach. Put on your swim suit and sunscreen and spend a day relaxing in the sun. After you've soaked up some rays and cooled off with a dip in the lake, lay out your towel and get ready for an amazing fireworks display. Watch as colorful illuminations light up the sky over beautiful Oneida Lake. This celebration takes place on Sunday July 5th.

Old Forge

How about a northern New York journey this Independence Day? Do you enjoy roasting marshmallows over the campfire in a scenic surrounding? Does your family enjoy swimming in lakes that are always cool and refreshing? If you're up for a hiking adventure, strap on your back pack and ascend the beautiful McCauley Mountain. At night, enjoy music at the Lakefront, and fireworks over Old Forge Pond. Phone 315-369-6983 for additional information.
