Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell Says NSYNC ‘Definitely’ Needs Justin Timberlake, Shuts Down Supergroup Concept
Are the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC forming a supergroup? Not according to Brian Littrell.
TMZ caught up with the singer at LAX airport on Thursday (Mar. 7) and asked him what he thought about Joey Fatone's plans to get BSB and NSYNC together. Unfortunately, he wasn't exactly down with the idea of a supergroup—at least not right now. “Not right now,” he told reporters. “I mean, we don’t really need that right now.”
He did say that he and his bandmates—Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, and Kevin Richardson—might change their minds later on in their careers, but under one condition: Justin Timberlake needs to be on board. He also jokingly added NSYNC is nothing without their leading man especially after the success of his solo career.
“No, they’re good guys. They’re good guys. But, you know, yeah, unfortunately, Justin blew up. I mean, no offense. They’re all talented guys," Littrell said, noting, “As much talk [as there is] about us being against each other, I think the fans would probably love it. Who knows? Anything’s possible. Just call JT, though.”
