The retail apocalypse strikes again: say good-bye to DressBarn.

The women's clothing retailer has already started closing sales with signs depicting 20%-50% off everything in the store.

DressBarn - which is owned by the same company that owns Ann Taylor and Loft - said in a press release the company is not "operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today’s retail environment," according to CNBC. DressBarn also has stores in Syracuse and Colonie, which are also expected to close.

DressBarn is just one of several stores in Central New York that have closed as brick and mortar stores fold under pressure from online shopping from giants like Amazon and Walmart. Central New York lost stores like Payless Shoes, Toys R Us, Forever 21, and Herb Philipson's.

Several other stores are also on the radar for potential closure, including Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Game Stop.
