Early Morning Fire Injures West Utica Man
A fire at a 'boarding house' at 914 Columbia Street has left a Utica man injured.
The fire was reported just after 5:00 this morning to the Utica Fire Department. The structure is just behind the F.X. Matt Brewery leading some to speculate that the West Utica landmark was on fire again: a portion of the brewery burned in 2008 causing a disruption in production. However the blaze was contained to the residence.
Multiple media reports indicate the injured man is being treated at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
