Eating a Cockroach Could Win You Tickets to The Great Escape

How quickly do you think you could eat a cockroach? If your answer is "fast" - this contest from The Great Escape is for you.

The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom in Lake George, NY is hosting a cockroach eating contest as part of their "Fright Fest" event that runs until October 28. The person that eats a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach the fastest will win a four-pack of season passes. The actual contest will happen October 6-8.

FYI If you've ever seen one of these creepy crawlies at the Utica Zoo, you know they aren't your ordinary cockroach - they're HUGE, they actually do hiss, and I'm guessing they don't go down without a fight...or a very loud crunch.

Not everybody will get to participate in this event - only the few contestants chosen by the park (I'm guessing they don't have unlimited insects to eat.) For all the details, you can check out the park's website: sixflags.com.

I don't know about you - but there is NO prize that would entice me to eat one of those insects (just like there's no way I'm spending 30 hours in a coffin). What would you have to earn in order to make eating that thing worth it?
