Our family is currently going through the experience of watching my father decline from Alzheimer's. On my last visit it was painful to hear my retired father talk about how much 'he needs this job' and the fact that he couldn't remember how many kids he has. Kelly Gunderson of Georgia is going through the same thing as you'll see in this heartwarming video. Thankfully, Kelly is sharing with us this touching moment with her mother.

We also are enjoying bright moments with dad as he is articulate an many things currently happening in his life. Dad is beginning to accept this chapter of his life, but how long before he actually doesn't remember us at all?

According to the Alzheimer's Association;

Alzheimer’s is a debilitating brain disorder that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Today, 5.3 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, with no way of preventing, curing or slowing the progression of the disease.

Isn't it nice to see them both sharing a wonderful moment together? Who knows if this is the last one or not. I hope to share as many moments like this with my father as possible.
