FDA Confirms Asbestos In Claire’s Makeup Products
If any of your kids or teenagers play around with makeup from Claire's - you might want to take it away from them just to be safe. The FDA has announced that a few of their products contain asbestos.
According to AOL, the first asbestos testing was done by third-party laboratories, which the agency reconfirmed with other independent tests. The follow-up tests wrapped up in late February.
Samples of the following products tested positive for tremolite asbestos during FDA testing:
- Claire’s Eye Shadows – Batch No/Lot No: 08/17
- Claire’s Compact Powder – Batch No/Lot No: 07/15
- Claire’s Contour Palette – Batch No/Lot No: 04/17
Claire's released the following statement today.
