Is Figgy Pudding a real dessert? Indeed it is, and if you can give it a try at the 22nd Annual Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles.

If you've ever doubted that this different but decadent dessert actually exists, kiss you're skepticism goodbye because you can taste the genuine, legitimate, sweet treat right here in Central New York. Is it any good? Well, the proof is in the pudding; the figgy pudding that is.

Every Saturday and Sunday, from noon til 4, now through Christmas, you'll have an opportunity to try this famous, bready, British dessert at the Mid-Lakes Navigation storefront in Skaneateles. According to Auburn Pub.com:

Through a partnership with the Skaneateles Ecumenical Food Pantry, The Art of Pudding — the Canadian company that offers samples and sells containers of its King George figgy pudding — donates the proceeds from every sample to the food pantry. Suggesting a contribution of 25 cents per sample.

Know that your small donation is going to an excellent cause; helping out those who are a little less fortunate right here in Central New York.

Not only does the 22nd Annual Dickens Christmas have figgy pudding samples, but there's a ton of fun for the entire family including: dancers, carolers, live music, food, and holiday cheer. CLICK HERE to learn more about the festival.
