Was your Facebook data accessed by Cambridge Analytica? Here's how you can find out.

Facebook is under fire after a company - Cambridge Analytica - accessed the personal information of millions of Facebook users, and then used that data to attempt to influence the 2016 Presidential Election. Cambridge accessed "snuck" into accounts using an app called "This Is Your Digital Life." Even if you didn't use the app, your friends might have - and your data could have been exposed that way, too.

Facebook has developed a tool to let you know if your account was among those accessed.

Make sure you look to see which apps are actively accessing your Facebook account by checking your security settings. Privacy on Facebook is your responsibility too - don't access apps or quizzes when you aren't sure where they're coming from - and don't accept friend requests from people you don't know or can't verify are within your social circle. A few extra clicks can help protect your privacy.
