Some homeless men in Syracuse received an incredible present this Christmas time!   The Rescue Mission never ceases to do good things in Central New York and recently some formerly homeless men in Syracuse received a new home just in time for Christmas. Eastern Hills Bible Church made an extremely generous contribution of $143,000 to fund the renovation of an apartment building and now some men that were previously homeless have a place to call home.

“We were amazed by the generosity of the Eastern Hills congregation.  Their gift represented a real commitment to our community and to helping our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness move toward healthy independence,” Alan Thornton, Rescue Mission CEO shared.

Because of the church and the Rescue Mission's philanthropy these gentlemen's lives are forever changed. They used to live on the freezing cold pavement. Now they live in a really nice home. What a Christmas present!

Thankfully I've never been homeless and I can't imagine living on the street especially during this brutal Central New York winter. Each year The Rescue Mission of Rome provides over 8,000 nights of care to homeless men, women and children. The Utica Rescue Mission provides over 130,000 hot meals annually.

You have the power to make a gigantic difference in the lives of some under privileged people right here in the Mohawk Valley simply by saving your pennies!
