Towels, remotes, hangers, bathrobes, cushions.  Remember  a couple of months ago I told you these are some of  the most popular items stolen from hotel rooms?   Better think twice before you swipe that hotel towel.  New technology might catch you.

Hotels around the globe are starting to use a new anti-theft system to prevent their guests from stealing bathrobes, towels and other hotel items.  They're using washable radio frequency tags which are stitched into cloth items, like the ever popular hotel towel.  One hotel in Hawaii, which uses this new anti-theft system,  has seen thefts drop from for thousand to seven hundred and fifty.  That is  saving them around thirteen thousand dollars a month.  On average, hotels lose between five to twenty percent of towels, sheets and bathrobes each month, so wonder they're jumping on board with this technology.
