There's a "JetBlue" Facebook page circulating that is offering free flights for an entire year. The promotion is a scam.

Winters can be harsh in Central New York, and many of us want to escape the snow and ice by flying away to a warmer place. Perhaps you were hoping to land in that tropical destination free of charge.

Have you seen that '"JetBlue" Facebook page offering free flights to "800" lucky individuals? Sorry to burst your bubble, but according to Fox 28 Columbus:

This promotion is not real. A JetBlue Airways spokesperson says, "This page and any similar promotions should be treated with caution," Johnston said. "We encourage customers to join us in reporting suspect pages or promotions through Facebook's reporting tools and refrain from sharing them to broader audiences."

One of the fake posts was shared over 70,000 times, and had nearly 50,000 page likes. How do you identify JetBlue's authentic page? Next to their name, you'll notice a little blue circle with a white check mark inside of it..
