John Mellencamp just announced his "Plain Spoken" tour that kicks off this winter and one of his dates on the massive 80-date tour will be coming to a local historic theatre.

John Mellencamp will kick off and then end the tour in his home state, beginning in South Bend on Jan. 21 and on May 8th at 7:30 he will bring the tour to the historic Landmark Theatre in Syracuse.

The theatre itself is home to many productions since it's renovation along with stirring legends of hauntings. Now, the theatre will bring the "Small Town" legend to the stage with special guest Carlene Carter on May 8th.

Tickets go on sale Sept. 19 at Mellencamp’s website and here. (Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets starting next Tuesday.) ‘Plain Spoken’ is Mellencamp’s first album since ‘No Better Than This’ four years ago.
