John Waite, the former lead singer of both the Babys and Bad English brings his solo tour to Utica's Uptown Theatre on Friday August 3. Here's a look at music from three different eras of his career.

  • Isn't it Time

    The Babys

Was it lucky or not that the two highest charting Babys hits, 'Isn't It Time' and 'Every Time I Think Of You' both peaked at 13. This song was the Babys break out single coming from 1977's 'Broken Heart'.

  • Every Time I Think Of You

    The Babys

The other Babys song to chart at 13 was this one from their 'Head First' album. The song brings in vocalist Annie Bertucci to compliment Waite's singing.

  • Back on My Feet Again

    The Babys

The last Babys song to crack the Top 40 was this one from 1979's 'Union Jacks' release. 'Back on My Feet Again' reached number 33.

  • When I See You Smile

    Bad English

Bad English formed in 1988 pairing members of the Babys with members from Journey. The collaboration lasted for two albums and this chart topping song from 1989.

  • Missing You

    John Waite

John's biggest chart success came in 1984 with this solo track which hit number 1. The song has been recorded by Tina Turner and a duet with Waite and Alison Krauss was a minor hit in 2007.
