[UPDATE: This clinic is full. Follow the Madison County Health Department on Facebook for the next clinic date.]

COVID-19 has caused quite the long list of cancellations, including the walk-up rabies clinics that were scheduled with the Madison County Health Department for 2020.

Instead, the officials with the county decided to host a Drive-Thru Rabies Clinic. It will take place Saturday, June 27th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Wampsville Highway Garage on North Court Street in Wampsville.

Unlike most clinics that take place, pre-registration is required by June 25th. Those seeking vaccination with their animals must within ten minutes of the scheduled appointment time. It's important that you remain in your vehicle with windows up for not only for the safety of your and those in the vehicle, but for the safety of the clinic staff too.

Masks are required by all who are inside of the vehicle. Pets must be restrained using a leash and collar, harness, cage or pet carrier.

According to the county, proof of previous vaccination is required to qualify for a three-year certificate. The proof of previous vaccinations needs to be shown through a closed vehicle window or submitted after the clinic. Participants will receive their pet’s rabies certificates by email.

The vaccinations are free to Madison County residents, although voluntary donations are appreciated to help with costs. If you plan on donating, bring the exact amount as the staff has no plans to make change.

If you are looking to pre-register for the event, you can do so by clicking the button below.
