Man Runs Into a Bear While Texting and Walking [VIDEO]

It's a good thing there is video to prove why he was late for work today because " I ran into a bear this morning" would have been the craziest excuse a boss could have ever heard.

A man was texting while walking down his driveway in La Crescenta, California and comes face to face with a black bear.  The bear encounter was captured on live tv by a news helicopter.

The man was interviewed by a KTLA news reporter after the incident.

Now I wonder if it's safe to put my trash out a day before pick up.
