What is McBrunch and is it Coming to McDonald’s?

The McDonald's corporation recently applied for a trademark for the term McBrunch, leading fast food industry watchers to wonder what a hybrid breakfast-lunch menu would look like.

While there is no test-marketing or any announced plan from McDonald's, USA Today speculates that,

Any McBrunch program at McDonald's — at least in the U.S. — likely would be limited to weekends and holidays, says Hume. It likely would extend the breakfast hour to noon or even 1 p.m., and include items not currently on the breakfast menu.

What items could appear on a McBrunch menu? Here are some cockamamie ideas of mine (PS- McDonald's I'm available for consultation if you like any of these!):

McMimosa Oh sure there are no liquor licences at McDonalds, so hold the champagne. But admit it, you'd drink a McDonald's mimosa with orange and Sprite.

Chicks in a Blanket How about rolling up Chicken McNuggets into Hot Cakes. I'd take a twenty piece of that.

McRib McMuffin Who could argue with a McRib patty with egg and cheese?
