McDonald's wants to say thank you to healthcare workers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics who are working diligently to keep us safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

They will offer free 'Thank You Meals' between Wednesday, April 22 and Tuesday, May 5, as a thank you for their "selfless service."

According to the chain, each 'Thank You Meal' will be available at no charge via drive thru or carry out at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. The 'Thank You Meal, available during breakfast, lunch or dinner, will be served in the McDonald’s iconic Happy Meal box, in the hopes of bringing a smile along with delicious food.

Here is what's available for those getting the meals:

Breakfast

  • A choice of an Egg McMuffin®, Chicken McGriddles® or a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and a Hash Brown.

Lunch and Dinner

  • A choice of a Double Cheeseburger, 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets® or a Filet-O-Fish® will be offered. All options come with any size soft drink, tea or hot coffee and small fries.

McDonald’s has been there in the past to help those impacted by whatever situations the world throws at us. They've donating funds to disaster relief efforts, have provided food for those impacted by natural disasters, plus much more. Their commitment to feeding the nation’s healthcare workers and first responders throughout the current pandemic is just another example of them helping those who need it most.

All McDonald's locations in Utica, Rome, Ilion, Herkimer, Oneida, Canastota, Cazenovia and Dewitt will be participating and giving out the 'Thank You Meals.'

No matter what time of the day, frontline heroes can simply show their work badge, or be in uniform to get their meal.
