In Rome along with the towns of Floyd & Marcy, Route 49 will have paving work between the Griffiss Business Park bridge and Route 291. You'll encounter a speed limit reduction to 55 mph, an eastbound or westbound lane closure and minor delays.

In Utica on Route 5A (Oriskany Blvd) between Jason and Whitesboro Streets, you'll encounter an eastbound and westbound lane closure due sewer line work. Minor delays can be expected.

There are a few more trouble spots to let you know about. In Deerfield, the Miller Road bridge over Routes 8 and 12 will remain closed until Labor Day due to bridge deck replacement. A signed detour is in place directing traffic to Trenton Road and Route 8.

In New Hartford on Route 12B between Robinson Road, Clinton and Hara Crescent, road work continues. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Extensive delays will be encountered. Alternate routes are advised.

And finally, also in New Hartford, the Route 8 bridge over S & W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills is a trouble spot. Motorists will encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound 24/7, traffic pattern changes and a speed limit reduction to 45 mph due to bridge maintenance operations. The Mill Street ramp to Route 8 south is closed for the duration of the bridge deck repairs. Mill Street remains open to businesses and patrons - only the ramp is closed.

I'm sure we've missed a few spots, well anyway, drive safely!
