The National Weather Service has updated their predicted snowfall totals as of Friday morning, March 2, for Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida county, including the cities of Boonville, Rome, and Utica.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 12
inches, with localized amounts up to 18 inches in far southern
Oneida County.

* WHERE...Oneida County.

* WHEN...Snow will continue, heavy at times through the day today
before diminishing evening. Snow rates could be 1 to 2 inches per
hour at times.

***For Herkimer and Hamilton counties, as well as Southern Fulton-
Montgomery-Northern Warren-Northern Fulton counties, including the cities of Big Moose, Eagle Bay, Old Forge, Ilion, Herkimer, Little Falls, Mohawk,
Frankfort, Dolgeville, Gloversville, and Johnstown.  Total snow accumulations of 7 to 13 inches, with localized amounts up to 18 inches south of the
Mohawk River, are expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions, including
during this morning`s commute. Tree damage and scattered power outages
expected from gusty winds and weight of snow. Winds gusting 35 to
45 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
