New Skill For Alexa – Remote Start Your Nissan
We were pretty excited to announce a recent addition to Alexa - Play Lite 98-7. Now we've found a way to use Alexa for remote features on your new Nissan.
There's a new Alexa skill called NissanConnect Services that you can download for free. The best part is, you may already have a vehicle this will work with.
Certain models starting in 2016 are already equipped with NissanConnect Services. There are some other Nissan subscription requirements, but once you've "trained" Alexa, you'll be able to:
use voice commands to remote lock/unlock, honk the horn, flash the lights and start or stop the engine depending on the model (NissanNews)
Do you think you could come up with a few ways this might be handy? Can't remember if you locked your Altima? Want to easily warm up your Rogue on those cold mornings? Want to scare the neighbor's kids waiting for the bus? Here are some of the models that can already take advantage of these new Alexa skills:
- Nissan Altima (MY16, MY17, MY17.5)
- Nissan Armada (MY18)
- Nissan GT-R (MY17)
- Nissan Maxima (MY16, MY17)
- Nissan Murano (MY17.5)
- Nissan Pathfinder (MY17, MY18)
- Nissan Rogue (MY16, MY17)
- Nissan Rogue Sport (MY17)
- Nissan Sentra (MY16, MY17)
- Nissan TITAN (MY17)
- Nissan TITAN XD (MY16, MY17)
Carbone Nissan of Yorkville has many of these models in stock now, and they would be happy to show you how to get these new features working. Stop by and see Doug and the crew on Commercial Drive in Yorkville today.
