Mailing a Letter Will Cost How Much Thanks to New Stamp Prices? — Dollars and Sense
If you haven’t bought stamps in awhile, you may want to stock up — they’ll cost more after this weekend.
In the first increase since May of 2009, the price of a “forever stamp” — those bought at any time which can be used anytime, regardless of subsequent price increases — will go up one penny to 45 cents starting January 22.
In addition, some other first-class mail prices are also getting a bump. A few examples? Postcards will increase three cents to 32 cents, letters to Canada or Mexico will go up a nickel to 85 cents, and letters to other international destinations will increase seven cents to $1.05.
Prices also will change for other mailing services including standard mail, periodicals, package services, and extra services. For more about all that, click here.
