Paul McCartney is one of the biggest stars on the planet, so you'd assume he was paid handsomely for his performance at the Olympics.  Not so and he wasn't the only one.

According to the Associated Press, McCartney performed at the Olympics on July 27th for only $1.57.  All the performers received the same fee to make their contracts binding for the Olympic appearance.  That's a far cry from the fee of $2.2 million, which is usually what McCartney charges to perform.  He is one of the highest paid in the music business, along with U2, Madonna, the Eagles and Bruce Springsteen.  Were you impressed with his performance?
