They say there are four seasons in Central NY. Winter is coming, Winter, Winter is ending and Construction. It appears that the paving work Utica, Kirkland, New Hartford, and Clinton will continue.

On French Road between Burrstone Road and Chenango Road the paving work continues and will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction. Extensive delays may be encountered. May we suggest you find alternate routes.

Also, near the Village of Clinton and the Towns of Kirkland and New Hartford, Route 12B between Robinson Road, Clinton and Hara Crescent will also have paving operations continue that you may want to avoid. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Extensive delays will be encountered.

There are a few more trouble spots to let you know about. In Deerfield, the Miller Road Bridge over Routes 8 and 12 will remain closed until Labor Day due to bridge deck replacement. A signed detour is in place directing traffic to Trenton Road and Route 8.

In New Hartford on the Route 8 bridge over S & W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills you will encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound 24/7. There will be a traffic pattern change and a speed limit sign to 45 mph due to bridge maintenance operations. The Mill Street ramp to Route 8 south is closed for the duration of the bridge deck repairs. But don't worry, Mill Street remains open to businesses and patrons - only the ramp is closed.

And finally in the towns of Marcy & Whitestown, Mohawk/Clinton Street between Route 69 and River Road will be experiencing miscellaneous construction activities. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by flaggers so you'll encounter minor delays.

I'm sure we've missed a few spots, well anyway, drive safely!
