Playful Former Stray Dog Xander Seeking CNY Fur-ever Home

Xander has been looking for a family to call his own since he was brought to the humane society as a stray. Could you be that family?

There's nothing quite like the unconditional love you get from a dog. They love you, no matter what. Of course, so many dogs are still looking for their own families to love.

Each Wednesday, the Beth & Dave Morning Show will feature a different adoptable dog that you can rescue and give a home. We're working with shelters and humane societies all across the Mohawk Valley to bring dogs together with their fur-ever humans. Week One's dog comes to us from the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. Here's a description from Stevens-Swan's John Treen:

Xander is a 5 month old Shepherd mix who originally came into our shelter as a stray pup. He has Congenital Addison's disease and will need life long vet care. Xander will need monthly visits to the vet. Don't let all of this scare you. Xander is a super sweet loving and playful pup. He loves people, other dogs and cats.

Addison's is a disorder producing lethargy and is caused by a deficient production of adrenal gland hormones.
