These TV Shows And Movies Prove Utica Is More Popular Than You Think

From movies to TV shows, real people and fictional characters, Utica has had its share of time in the spotlight. These are three best mentions of Utica in the entertainment world.

 The Office

This TV Show has made many references to Utica. Mainly, their fictional satellite office - The Utica Branch. Part of one episode (Branch Wars), was set in Utica. It didn't get filmed here, but some donations were sent to the set to make it look like they were in Utica.

Slapshot

Maybe they don't technically mention it, but parts of the movie were filmed at the Utica Aud. and that's cool enough to count.

The Simpsons

The Simpsons make quite a few mentions to Utica including the fictional hockey team 'The Utica Mohawks.' The best mention of Utica in The Simpsons though, is when Skinner is talking to Superintendent Chalmers, and Chalmers makes the claim he's from Utica.
