Real Colored Christmas Trees Now in CNY

We've seen Christmas trends come and go. But there's a new trend that's been sweeping the country, and now it has arrived in Central New York.

Some people love artificial trees - colorful, pre-lit, even pre-decorated. And some people NEED to have a real tree to make it feel like Christmas. But one Rome Christmas tree farm gives you a little bit of both.

Henderberg's Christmas Tree Farm, off Route 365 just west of Rome lets people have the traditional Christmas experience - take a ride out to the field in a wagon, pick out the perfect tree and cut it down. Then bring that wonderful fresh pine smell back to your home. And this year they'll even have a selection of brightly colored trees - red, turquoise, pink, magenta, white, light blue, and purple.

Are they safe? According to Henderberg's website, these trees are "treated with a non-toxic food grade colorant that won't come off." The colorant is also fire-proof and may even help to preserve the needles a little bit longer.

Henderberg's isn't open for the season quite yet. But when they finally do open on Black Friday, we're sure these colored Christmas trees will sell out quickly.
