This upcoming presidential election is going to be a big one. If you're not registered to vote, here's how you can take care of that.

Most of us are already registered to vote, but if it's something you haven't gotten around to doing, now is the time. This year's presidential election is going to be one for the history books. No matter who you decide to vote for in this upcoming election, it's important to get out and vote - It's important to get your voice heard. We live in a country that allows its citizens the right to choose who is in office - A right that many countries are still fighting for. Yet, so many Americans still don't take advantage of that right. Well, now's your chance.

If you're not registered to vote in the upcoming election, it's pretty easy to change that. According to CNN Politics,

You can register online through the DMV, mailing your county's board of elections or showing up there.

But don't wait too late to register! You have to be registered by October 14th to participate in this year's elections. There are some conditions, however. CNN Politics says,

You must be a US citizen, living in New York, 18 by Election Day and not legally declared mentally incompetent.

If you register online, you'll need your driver's license and social security number. It takes less than 10 minutes to fill out the information then once your application is in, it's sent to your County or City Board of Elections. The New York DMV says you will be notified when your application is processed.

Don't waste your opportunity (or your right) to vote in this upcoming election. Make sure you're registered, and make sure you make time to get out there and vote!
