Smooth Robots Bust a Move to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’
If you have nightmares of robots taking over the world, this video won’t help. It is, however, an impressive display of technology as a perfectly synchronized group of ‘bots dance in time to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller.’ All hail our toe-tapping mechanical overlords!
Built and programmed as part of an effort by Aldebaran Robotics and MIT, this group of seven robots shows off some serious skill as they bust a move to Jackson’s seminal hit.
A man even interrupts one of the robots and forces it to sit on the floor. Undeterred, the music-loving automaton quickly gets up and joins the rest of the crew. Impressive! (And a little creepy!)
Oh well, robots may rise up and destroy humanity one day, but at least they’ll look mighty slick while doing it.
