The 2015 edition of Spring Farm Cares Run/Walk for the Animals will take place May 2 in Clinton.

Spring Farm Cares is a no-kill shelter on Route 12B and is

home to about 250-275 animals, including 25 horses and ponies, 2 donkeys, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, and a couple of exotic birds. Animals not adopted are guaranteed a home here for life. The dogs and cats live in rooms furnished like living rooms, enjoying as much of a "home" atmosphere as possible. We do not euthanize to make room for new animals, HOWEVER, when we are full, we are full and must turn animals away. With today's animal overpopulation, we are always full. And we are forced to say no to about 60 cats and 20 dogs per week. This is how strong the need is for help with animal overpopulation. The numbers are staggering.
