It's Not Too Late to Sign Up for the 2018 TEAL Walk in Whitesboro

Registration is still open for this year's TEAL Walk, and you can be a part of an amazing cause that brings awareness to ovarian cancer.

We're getting closer and closer to the big day, the 2018 TEAL Walk at Whitestown Town Park. The 4th annual walk is Saturday, September 8th, with different activities and raffles starting at 9am. That will be followed by the opening ceremonies at 9:45am. Around 10am the official walk will start.

If you have not signed up for the walk, it's not too late. You can register online for $15, up until Friday, August 31st. Early online registration also gets you a TEAL Walk t-shirt (while supplies last). If you choose to register in person on the day of the walk, it will cost you $20. This is the fourth year the TEAL Walk has been held in Whitesboro, and each year this event brings more and more people out for such an important cause. "TEAL" has two meanings. The first, "Tell Every Amazing Lady," which means to tell the women in your life about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and bring awareness to this deadly disease. The other meaning has to do with "teal" the color, which represents ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer awareness.

The TEAL Walk is an amazing local event that not only brings awareness to ovarian cancer, but also raises funds in the fight of this cancer. This year, they're trying to raise $10,000 for this cause, and you can help them reach their goal.

The whole event is very moving, as you’ll meet those who’ve suffered from the disease, and those who have lost loved ones to it. But everyone comes together to bring awareness, to share their stories, and to raise money in the fight against ovarian cancer.
