Sting has been busy working on his Broadway musical "The Last Ship" and you'll be able to hear the result of his efforts next month during a concert on PBS.

According to USA Today, Sting's "The Last Ship" concert airs February 21st at 9pm on PBS as part of Great Performances.  The concert was filmed on Sting's birthday, October 2nd in New York City where he was joined by a fourteen piece band to perform songs from his first musical "The Last Ship."

The musical and album reflect Sting's upbringing in the shipbuilding community of Newcastle.  Sting also plans to sing songs from the musical when he goes on tour with Paul Simon later this year.

"The Last Ship" premieres in Chicago this June before making its debut on Broadway this fall.

The 16 time Grammy winner says he "felt compelled" to tackle this story of his childhood.

Sting is amazing in concert and I'm sure this PBS show will be worth watching.
