We Want to Recognize Central New York Firefighters with Our Firefighter Friday

Are you, or do you know of someone who is a firefighter that deserves recognition for the job they do? Submit them to be featured on "Firefighter Friday."

Both paid and volunteer firefighters have a dangerous and courageous job: They put their lives on the line to save others every single day. Most people realize that, but most people don't realize just how much of their life is affected by their job, or how much really happens while they're on the clock or on call.

That's why we want to honor the firefighters in our community. We want to get a closer look at a typical day for them on the job, and their personal life. Are they involved with anything else in the community? Do they have a family? What are some of their hobbies outside of work? We're curious about those memorable moments on the job as well, whether it's savings someone's life that left a lasting impression on them, or maybe the first fire they fought and how they'll never forget it. And of course, we want to thank them for all that they do in Central New York.
