July 2014 could start out with quite a bang in Upstate New York, and not just from the fireworks that come along with Independence Day. A heat advisory has been issued for a portion of Upstate New York and there is a threat of severe weather on Tuesday July 1.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for a portion of Upstate New York including the Mohawk Valley for Wednesday. Temperatures will reach into the 90s with heat index values nearing or topping 100 degrees.
