With the number of daily active cases of COVID-19 still high, Mohawk Valley Health System has decided they need to make a shift in their visitation policies.
Mohawk Valley Health System is providing an update on hospital staffing following the deadline for the New York State COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers.
The downtown Utica hospital just got a new name, along with a $50 million contribution from casino mogul and Utica native, Steve Wynn. Going forward, Utica's new hospital which is expected to open in 2023, will be named The Wynn Hospital of the Mohawk Valley Health System.
There is a definite spike in COVID-19 cases around the region and as a result, Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) in Utica is reverting back to visitation restrictions beginning this weekend.
