Each week two guests came to Fantasy Island to get their wish or fantasy fulfilled. The show was very similar to "The Love Boat" except their mysterious host was the debonair and suave white-suited Mr. Roarke played by Ricardo Montalban. He would do the sometimes impossible and grant them their wishes.

Just like the episode. Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David really did pitch Seinfeld as a "show about nothing". Seinfeld stood out from the many sitcoms of the 90s. Did you know that none of the main Seinfeld characters are related by blood or had ever worked together before but they remained close friends when doing the show and are still today? You'll see why.

The TV show 'One Day at a Time' was more than just a comedy, it featured plenty of drama. It tried to tackle serious issues in life and relationships, particularly those related to the new wave of feminism. I recall the shows serious topics, and dramatic moments...

The G-Force consisted of five teen-age champions who battled evil aliens Galactor and Computor, along with their armies of androids and giant monster machine. They want to take over the Earth but the G-Force will stop at nothing to protect our planet! Not a very popular cartoon, it ran only in 1986 & 87.

This nostalgic cartoon started in Japan in the late 1980's, and it's original theme song, "Cha La Head Cha La", is fun and upbeat! Naturally, we Americans didn't get this show until about 1997, and unfortunately it's run ended in 2003. Remember, "Dragon, Dragon...pump the Dragon. Dragonball Z!

While an awesome cartoon, I thought it could use a little bit of a development. Now, compare this nostalgic cartoon to the "Transformers" movies, well, the movies win hands down.

This cartoon was very popular, every kid I knew just couldn't get enough of the Ninja Turtles! The angry video game friend of mine was not lying when he bragged about how popular these heroes in a half-shell were, because even though I was not that young, I was there! Looking back, I still can't seem to get enough of these guys.

By far, Mario is one of the most recognized characters on the planet. He's been the mascot of Nintendo since 1985, and his first cartoon series is definitely a show remembered by all us Nintendo kids.

If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who ya gonna call? I just couldn't resist having a line from "Ghostbusters" in the details. Apparently, these guys are the REAL Ghostbusters, a cartoon that ran from 1986 to 1991.

Are you one of the people who think "Garfield and Friends" is the best cat cartoon ever? I have nothing against the fat cat himself, but I personally think "Heathcliff" was a little better. A show about a cat who plays tricks on people and dogs in his neighborhood...where did I see that before?

The Chipmunks were indeed one of the highlights of the 80s when it comes to nostalgic cartoons. Alvin & The Chipmunks ran from 1983-1990. This show spawned a Christmas song, spin-off cartoons and Hollywood movies. In 1990 many television networks were showing drug prevention television and the Chipmunks got into the act.

I'm sure that if you're a child of the 80s, you were a fan of Disney's "Gummi Bears...bouncing here and there and everywhere." I'll bet you're still a fan of the candy. I'm not because Gummi Bears pull out my fillings!
