Richfield Springs Science Teacher Mary Weingates Passes Away In Fire
Some sad news to pass along, Richfield Central School District Science teacher Mrs. Mary Weingates has passed away in a fire at age 59.
According to WKTV, the fire broke out at approximately 7 a.m. this morning (11/16):
According to reports, the fire took a few hours to put out, and when our crew arrived on the scene at 9 a.m., smoke was still billowing out of the residence.
Officials confirmed that the sole occupant and resident of the house, Mary E. Weingates, 59, passed away in the fire.
