Good news, ‘Glee‘ fans! ‘The Glee Project‘ — the show that brought us Rory, aka Damian McGinty — will be back in business for Season 2 in the summer of 2012!

That means more songs, more emotional competition and more ‘Glee’ guest mentors! The show will premiere with 14 new hopefuls and the guest star of all guest stars from the hit FOX show, Miss Lea Michele.

According to Tulsa World, the Oxygen channel just said ‘that’s a wrap’ to the casting segment of the show, taking in thousands of online auditions and in-person attempts in multiple cities. In the end, they were left with just over a dozen contenders, ready to start the race that could realistically change their lives.

The winner of ‘The Glee Project’ grabs a seven-episode role on ‘Glee,’ just like the opportunity McGinty and fellow winner Samuel Larsen were given following last year’s win, though they’ll have to face often harsh judgement from ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy before they get a pass. Casting director Robert Ulrich, choreographer Zach Woodlee and vocal coach Nikki Anders will also be returning this summer.

A launch date for ‘The Glee Project’ Season 2 has not yet been announced.
