5 Things to Remember Before Heading to Utica on Tap
Whether you've been to Utica on Tap before or not, there are a few things you need to keep in mind.
1. Have a Good Meal Before You Go
There's going to be food at Utica on Tap, but if you're going to be sampling beers all day, you want to make sure you have a hearty meal in your stomach. Even if you only think you're going to sample two or three beers, you can't do that on an empty stomach (well... you could, it just wouldn't be pretty).
2. Want to Be In Right When Sampling Starts? Get There Early
Last year, the line for Utica on Tap wrapped around the Utica AUD. If you want to be one of the first ones in the door, you're going to have to get there early. Like, really, REALLY early. You don't have to be first through the door, but if that makes you happier (and maybe helps you get one more beer in), more power to you. Just realize you will have to wait outside for a bit.
3. It's Busy, It's Loud, and It's Fun
The picture sums it up pretty well. It's crowded, but it's a lot of fun. You'll run into people you haven't seen in months or even years. You'll be sampling some of the best craft beers from all over the country. You'll be listening to live music while you're enjoying your beer. What's better than that?
4. Have a DD
We shouldn't even have to mention this, but we will - As a friendly reminder. Even if you sample just one or two beers, you NEED a designated driver. Don't turn a fun event into a huge disaster.
5. Your License
Ummm... duh.
It doesn't matter how old you are or how old you look, you need your license to get in. No excuses.
Utica on Tap happens April 30th at the Utica AUD - with two different sampling sessions. You can get your tickets now, and all the information you need, at the link below:
