The last place on earth you would ever imagine a case of animal cruelty happening, would be on a farm. But that's actually what happened on the Montross farm near Mt Pleasant Michigan, about a half hour north of Saginaw. 71 dead calves were discovered on their property and now the owners are in deep trouble.

I'm speechless. What could of happened? Why such extreme neglect?

If 29-year-old John Montross is convicted of the felony, he could face a maximum penalty of four years in prison and a $5,000 fine. What do you think, should the penalty be more severe?
