America got it's first glance at "The Honeymooners" on October 5, 1951. It was a six-minute sketch where Art Carney made a brief appearance as a police officer who gets hit with flour that Ralph had thrown out the window. Soon we fell in love with 'The Kramdens' who we wished well as they showed us that financial struggles and marriage difficulties were really just a part of everyday American life.
What I enjoyed most about the show was the premise that a bus driver and his sewer worker friend could struggle to strike it rich while their wives looked on with pessimistic patience. The Honeymooners ran from 1951 to 1956 and can still be seen on nostalgic TV show networks today.

Enjoy some of the best of 'The Honeymooners'
