Upstate New York Braces For First Winter Storm of the Season
Portions of Upstate New York from Binghamton to Albany are expected to get the first significant snowfall of the season this weekend.
Saturday's expected snow has prompted a winter Weather Advistory for Otsego, Chenango and Broome Counties. 1-3 inches with up to a half-inch in higher elevations.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Schoharie Valley and Capitol District. A heavy, wet snow is forecasted. The highest elevations could get seven inches or more.
Finally a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Catskills and the Endless Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The mountains could get 1o inches to a foot of snow.
