The Utica-Rome area and Southern Oneida County should expect upto six inches or more of snow by Friday evening with a system moving in Thursday afternoon.

Weather Channel Meteorologist Ray Stagich says a Winter Weather Advisory will be in place from 5pm Thursday to 5pm Friday with accumulation ranging from 3-6 inches, with more snowfall possible in higher elevations.

Temperatures over the next 24-36 hours will be a bit warmer, too, hovering in the low-to-mid 30s.
